About the 6th edition
With over fifty films to her name and two Césars for Best Actress - for Un dimanche à la campagne, by Bertrand Tavernier, and Mélo, by Alain Resnais - the incandescent Sabine Azéma has kept intact the joy of playing roles we never forget. Many great directors have filmed her, from Danièle Thompson to Etienne Chatiliez, from Bruno Podalydès to the Larrieu brothers, and of course ten films with Alain Resnais. She says she was born with ‘the desire to provoke surprise’, and has also made a documentary on Robert Doisneau, whose mischievous humanism she shares. As much as her taste for photography, she enjoys immortalising the infra ordinary of the human comedy whenever she gets the chance. A regular on festival juries, she will be on hand to meet the public.
