Danièle Thompson is a talented and respected French screenwriter, director and dialogue writer, who worked closely with her father, the famous director Gérard Oury. Born in 1942, she began her film career in the late 1970s. Their fruitful collaboration made them one of the most influential and creative duos in the French film industry, scripting and writing such films as ‘La Grande Vadrouille’, ‘Le Cerveau’, ‘Maladie d'Amour’ and ‘La Carapate’. She has been nominated for several César awards, including Best Screenplay for ‘La Reine Margot’, ‘Ceux qui m'aiment prendront le train’ and ‘La Bûche’.
