In 2014, in collaboration with the Tokyo Ballet and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta, Gil Roman and the Béjart Ballet Lausanne reprised one of the most breathtaking dance works of the 20th century: Beethoven's Ninth Symphony choreographed by Maurice Béjart.
Dancing Beethoven follows nine months of intense and exhilarating rehearsals, from the start of the choreographic work on this masterpiece to its world premiere at Tokyo's NHK Hall on 8 November 2014. An immersion in the daily rehearsals of 250 artists, dancers, singers and musicians from around the world, united by a common project celebrating human solidarity.
