From the original negative to the DVD, he goes through all the stages of meticulous work: calibration, restoration, verification and, finally, mastering. The ultimate goal? Zero defects.
With 650 restorations to his credit, André Labbouz knows his subject inside out. Born in 1957, he joined the famous cinema house in 1986 as a theater manager. Since 2009, he has been in charge of restoring Gaumont films, including works dating back to the very beginnings of cinema
