About the 7th edition
Angeliki Papoulia is a Greek actress and theatre director. She graduated from the National University of Athens and the Empros Theatre Drama School in 2000.
She has appeared in numerous films by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos, including Canine, Alps and The Lobster. These films were a critical and popular success, winning numerous awards at world-famous festivals including Cannes, Venice and Sydney. In 2020, she won Best Actress at the Hellenic Film Academy Awards for her role in The Miracle of the Sargasso Sea, by Syllas Tzoumerkas
In 2004, she co-founded the Blitz theatre company (2004-2017), in which she writes, directs and performs. The company has presented its shows at major festivals and theatres across Europe (Festival d'Avignon, Théâtre de la Ville, La Comédie de Reims).
