About the 5th edition
The musician from Versailles has sold millions of albums and performed all over the world, co-founding the group Air with his sidekick Nicolas Godin. A pioneer of the ‘French touch’, the wave of electro-pop music that swept the planet from the mid-90s onwards, he also made an early name for himself in the film world, writing the soundtrack for Sofia Coppola's Virgin Suicides under the Air banner, and then a track for Lost in Translation and Marie-Antoinette. The group also composed the music for Sam Gabarski's film Quartier lointain. As a solo artist, Jean-Benoît Dunckel has a first album, Darkel, released in 2006, followed by a second, H+, in March 2018, and already five soundtracks to his credit: Cyprien by Elie Semoun, Summer by Alanté Kavaïté, Swagger by Olivier Babinet, KO by Fabrice Gobert and Été 85 by François Ozon. Not forgetting the original music for the series Mytho by Fabrice Gobert and Anne Berest.
