The Last Picture Show

In a small Texas town in the 1950s, Sonny and Duane pass the time chasing girls and frequenting the local movie theater. After the theater’s manager dies, it eventually shuts down, marking the end of their youthful friendships. Former film critic and devoted cinephile Peter Bogdanovich provides one of the most poignant portrayals of adolescent longing while paying tribute to classic cinema. At the same time, he highlights an irreconcilable generational divide.
